“I remember the successful completion of one of the first slum projects in Mumbai which was about 25 years ago, when the then Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Shri Manohar Joshi and Shiv Sena Patriarch Shri Balasaheb Thackeray presented keys of homes constructed by us, to 400 financially challenged slum families ushering in a new era of Slum rehabilitation and a paradigm shift in the Government’s outlook towards Slum and the need to integrate the slum dwellers in the mainstream social fabric of our city. The look of gratification in the eyes of the families accepting the keys of their dream homes spurred something in me and right then I knew my calling. Over the past 2 decades we have positively impacted the lives of around 50,000 individuals who are residing in free homes constructed by us.”

Who We Are
The Neelyog Group of companies have been engaged in the development of residential and commercial properties in Mumbai for over 3 decades. Among the pioneers of Mumbai’s Slum Rehabilitation Schemes, one of the city’s first SRA projects was flagged off by us in Pant Nagar, Ghatkopar. Ever since, there has been no looking back.
We have developed approximately 7000 slum tenements and handed them over to slum dwellers, free of cost. In the process, we have helped realise the dreams of thousands of families who are now enjoying a better standard of living. With our professional backgrounds, we bring a structured and skilled approach to the process of slum rehabilitation.
At Neelyog, we believe that having a home is a basic right of every individual, which once attained allows one to strive towards greater goals in life without having to worry about daily shelter. This state of being leads to the development of the individual, the society and the economy as a whole. We envision a Mumbai devoid of slums and our constant endeavour is to work systematically towards making it a reality.
The word ‘Neelyog’ derives its roots from the combination of its founders’ names, Mr. Yogesh Babulal Mehta and his wife Mrs. Neela Yogesh Mehta and in many ways the company embodies their ethos in life. Resilience, Empathy and Integrity are some of the core values of the Founders which are deeply ingrained in the culture of our Company.

Mr. Yogesh Mehta
Founder and Managing Director
Founder and Managing Director of Neelyog, Mr. Yogesh Mehta is a Certified Chartered Accountant with a LLB degree. Prior to founding the company, he had a well-established accountancy and financial consultancy practice. In the 1980s, an opportunity in the real estate industry came calling and he decided to make the most of it. He found a niche in Slum Rehabilitation and over the years the company has successfully implemented many a challenging slum projects. With the growing scale of operations, Mr. Mehta decided to surrender his certificate of Practice (Chartered Accountancy) and concentrate solely on his real estate business. Over the years, under his stewardship the company has celebrated many milestones and completed multiple projects forging a brand of its own. With his decades of experience, proficiency with numbers, foresight and acumen, he continues to oversee the operations of the business as it grows from strength to strength.
Mr. Rushi Mehta
Director
A Director of the Neelyog Group of Companies, Mr. Rushi Mehta completed his academics with a stellar record, securing 1st Rank in his Final Year (BCom) at Narsee Monjee College of Commerce and Economics; 22nd All-India Rank in his CA Final (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) and Student of the Year at the University of Liverpool, UK (MBA Business Finance & Management). Learning the ropes of the real estate business from his father and founder of the company, he has brought on board his own brand of leadership over the years with youthful dynamism and flamboyance. This has helped successfully bridge the chasm of a rapidly changing business environment, enabling the company to meet challenges and grow leaps and bounds. He is actively involved in various Developer Associations and committees to ensure that he is a Driver of Positive Change in the Industry. He is the Joint Secretary of the Slum Rehabilitation Association as well as a committee member with CREDAI MCHI.
